The Greenwood Freedom Festival is an exciting event that offers multiple activities, entertainment, food and fun for all ages, as we commemorate our national pride while fostering a sense of civic involvement and community celebration. Each year, this free community event draws more than Forty Thousand (40,000) people from Greenwood, the Indianapolis South Side, and surrounding regions, and continues to grow into one of the largest one-day festivals of its kind in the local area. The Greenwood Freedom Festival offers a parade, food & business vendors, Old Towne Merchants Association Street Fair, live entertainment, concerts, Kids' Fairs, fireworks and much, much more. The annual Freedom Festival is made possible by the continuing partnership between the City of Greenwood and a growing group of volunteers who work hard all year long, donating their time and efforts to planning and conducting this annual event for the community. Because the Greenwood Freedom Festival is offered free to the public, its volunteers and the sponsorship dollars raised are critical to its continued growth and success.
